Treat generative systems as probabilistic pattern completers with product layers (filters, tools, retrieval). Fluency is not reliability. Your expertise remains the source of academic standards.

Integrity without panic

Ban-only policies push use underground. Better: define allowed assistive uses, require process evidence (notes, drafts, oral defense), and teach verification.
